The proposed volumetry results from a series of subtraction operations applied to the maximum allowable volume defined by the Zonal Urban Plan (PUZ), aiming to ensure natural lighting for all façades and to create easy pedestrian connections between key points both within and outside the site. In this process, a significant role is played by an existing footpath that diagonally crosses the site—a direction we have integrated and reinterpreted in our concept as a two-level pedestrian route. This pathway cuts through the building, forming a new active façade for the commercial area and generating, at the intersection with the building’s inflected base, a mineral public square.
